9/13/10 Commissioners Meeting Minutes:
The Board of Bear Lake County Commissioners met in regular session on Monday, September 13, 2010, beginning at 9:00 A.M. in the School District #33 Board Room in Paris, Idaho. Members present: Vaughn N. Rasmussen, Chairman, Montain D. Kunz, DeMar Romrell and Kerry Haddock, Clerk of the Board.
Roger Jones, Prosecuting Attorney, Rodney Wallentine, Treasurer, Brent Bunn, Sheriff, Rosa Moosman, Editor of the News-Examiner and Bill Stock also attended the meeting.
Additions to agenda approved.
Minutes for August meeting approved.
Sheriff received a $221,000 grant to upgrade to enhanced 911 in
the dispatch center.
Assessor reported 3 people appealed their BOE decision to the
Board of Tax Appeals.
Bear Lake Blueprint project progressing well.
Bills approved - TOTAL WARRANTS . . . . . 498,026.45 173
City impact areas update on progress - letters sent requesting
cities to work on.
Discussion of 3 railroad right-of-way leases.
Commissioners approved rent for next fiscal year for SEICAA office.
Computer Arts software contracts for next year approved.
Resolution #2010-16 - National Forest Payments approved.
Road & Bridge - Commissioners requested speed signs on North
Beach Road.
Black Bear Resort update.
Montpelier City signed deed of ownership of Allinger Park over
to County. Road to Shaul subdivision discussed.
Road and Bridge grader damaged a Fish Haven Sewer and Water manhole.
Resolution #2010-17 - FY 2010-2011 budget adopted.
Levy rates for all taxing districts in County for FY 2011 approved.
Fish Haven Canyon congestion discussed - BLM installed a bridge
for four wheelers and snowmobilers.
Keller Associates discussed engineering services with County.
A boat with dead quagga mussels on hull found in Idaho and had
been in Bear Lake.
Cascade Earth Sciences presented proposal for landfill services.

Public Hearing Notice is hereby given that the Board of Commissioners of Bear Lake County, Idaho will meet on September 7, 2010, at the hour of 9:00 a.m. in the School District #33 Board Room in Paris, Idaho, for the purpose of considering and fixing a final budget and making appropriations to each office, department, service agency or institution and fund for the 2010-2011 fiscal year, at which time any taxpayer may appear and be heard upon any part or parts of said budget.
